Hello - I’m Rebecca and I’m the chief metal melter behind La’al Treasures. Fuelled by cups of tea and bulletproof coffee, with only Radio 2 and an aloof rescue dog for company during my working day, I like to create art jewellery and precious keepsakes.
It started with buying an engraving machine, with the intention of creating a personalised jewellery business. It soon evolved from there, thanks to a daily dog walk in the South Lakes, a love of shiny things and problem solving.
Did you know? La’al = Little in Cumbrian dialect.
Inspired by nature, I’m always stopping to inspect plants and flowers to see how they’re constructed – much to my dog’s despair.
Each treasure starts off as recycled sterling silver, brass or copper sheet, or wire, and is cut, filed, soldered, sanded, polished and textured with love on my jewellery bench at home.
The end result can be a moment captured in silver or a little reminder of our natural surroundings in the Lake District – or simply what happens when you deliberately melt up silver to make weird organic shapes!
If you see something that you like but want to tweak it a bit, just drop me a message – commissions are welcome.

All silver weighing 7.78g or more is fully hallmarked – as legally required in the UK.
